MOBA
Short for multiplayer online battle arena, a team-based game in which each player controls a single character and teams fight to destroy a base while defending their own.
Mobile game
A video game designed to be played on a mobile phone or tablet, usually controlled through a touchscreen and often downloaded from an app store.
Mod
Short for modification, a change made to a game by players or fans that alters or adds content, such as new levels, characters, graphics, rules or entire new games.
Monetisation
The ways in which a game or its publisher earns money, such as upfront sales, subscriptions, advertisements, optional purchases or paid expansions.
Multiplayer
A game or mode in which more than one person plays at the same time, either together on a team, against one another or in a shared online world.
